crafts, coats, and trash bags

Today was a full day...from helping out at a valentine's day event for mummies and their sons to handing out coats and food to stapling flyers on trash bags for church tomorrow, today was a full day. A good day though. a day full of unexpected surprises (aren't all surprises unexpected?), of pleasant moments, of laughter, of compassion, of conversation, of connection, of service, of community, of fellowship, of life, of learning...

There are days in life that you wonder will you remember in ten years, and if so what will you remember about the day:
From today, Saturday 9th 2007, will I remember little boy's excitement? Chocolate Rose and sticky fingers? Laughter of youth? Car rides and conversation? Ethina? Gratitude and envy? God's sovereignty and providence? Or will the days in the past and the days to come overshadow the moments of today?

Every moment, of every hour, of every day offers a piece of life - a chunk of time, in that moment life can be altered...it can become richer, it can become jaded; what would be sad is if life did not change, if we did not allow the moments in our life to come to a rest and to flow through us.
