Hair Saga

"My" three year old angel has beautiful long wavy/curly hair. I was brushing it this morning, and started to twirl the brush around the curls - however before I got far into the curling I realized I should perhaps STOP, because in the past I've not had much luck with hair, brushes, and twirling...

When I was ten, and we were away in Devon I lay in my bunk bed with a comb twirling it around my bangs (fringe) - I twirled it so much that we (my mum) had to in fact cut out the comb with some hair pieces...

Actually now that I think back I think I had an issue with my hair:

Let's see - I was three? and I decided to help my mum put away the food shopping, but rather than put the large tub of margarine in the fridge I put it on all over my hair!!!

Around about the same age I took large adult scissors and proceeded to chop a triangle from my bangs, I chopped so close to the bangs that now as my hair grows long in the front it parts with a triangular bent!!!

Then age 5? my mum chopped off all my hair because I grumbled too much when she would brush it - so I had short hair most of my childhood.

Age 10? I grabbed hold of a curling iron with my bare hand and scorched my left hand!

Age 10 - the first tangled comb. (Although I think I have done it again).

Freshman in HS - my mum had just returned home from a long week of taking care of my older brother who was seriously ill at the time. I had not long been home myself having performed as Mrs McCarthy in The Best Christmas Pagaent Ever, and my hair was rock solid with hair spray. I, the smart one that I am, take the round brush and yes twirl brush it through my hair, and you never would guess but it got STUCK - and my mum already half asleep has to come to the rescue in pulling, cutting, tearing the brush and hair apart.

Hmm, yes well I do think it is safe to say that one: I do have some issues with hair and the essentials of hair and two: I probably shouldn't twirl/brush "my" little girl's hair -- it would be AWFUL if something happened to hair due to my doing!!!!!!!!!!!
