in pain

My body aches. My hips are stiff and sore. My back is experiencing shots of pain zooming from my neck down. No I didn't run any more miles today, nor did I go to kickboxing; but it does feel as if I went through a rigorous work out regime!!

No, no exercise but the dentist. Oh don't you just love the dentist? They pull our mouth every which way. Stuff about five different instruments of torture in your mouth, and while your mouth is both full and numb they ask you questions - how exactly are you supposed to answer them??

Then admist it all your dentist has to keep asking you to breath through your nose because breathing through your mouth is fogging up her little mirror, the same little mirror that is currenty resting against your bottom lip.

Furthermore, the dentist has the audacity to ask if you're ok. What are you supposed to say? Your mouth is being stretched and prodded and poked and drilled and while yes in theory you can't feel it, it will only be a matter of time before you can actually feel the pain that has been so unmercifully inflicted.

In the process of my visit in rounding off a previously existing filling, they discovered a new filling, so my appointment went longer, which also meant that the numbing cream wore off. How did I know this? So nice of you to ask...Well, you see when the dentist proceeded to further poke me and I felt a pinch, yeah a sort of give away!!!

That's it for now...it is actually now Wednesday. I started writing last night but succumbed to sleep at an early hour. I have a theory on the delayed pain, but more on that later.
