wine and cheese

I think therefore I am.

I think a whole lot, therefore I must be a whole lot. Perhaps I should add a caveat to this blog post, I am sitting at home after having devoured half a triangular block of brie cheese, some crackers - it looks to be half a packet, some soft swiss cheese, salami, and some herb goat cheese - which I didn't particulary like, oh and so far four triangles of Toblerone and let's not forget the glass of "two buck chuck." And well, I have music going and I am enjoying the fact that for this evening I have nothing to do, nowhere to be. My house is clean - sort of, the front half at least is clean, still could do with some more cleaning, but clean is as clean does - does that even make sense?!

Yes, I think this is going to be a somewhat random post - I can feel it. I had started a post earlier about my day. I could speak to that...see I do believe I was slightly ambitious in the activities of today. Marissa didn't have school today so we holed up at home and within the space of three hours we made cupcakes, painted, bathed, walked, and ate lunch. And if only that list was that simple. Not only did Marissa cook, but I also gave Michael some flour and water and watched to see what he would do with it - and mix he did, and mess he made, and then I took away the "cooking" ingredients, and added paint which unfortunately he didn't seem to enjoy and he proceeded to smear paint all over his face - so he looked a little bit like Mel Gibson in Braveheart, but rather than Blue and White, he had Blue and Red smeared all over his cute little face, which did mean a bath was in order. In the meantime Marissa painted on - mixing colors, and having a jolly ol' time. After I cleaned up - not really, merely stacked, because I was under the impression the housecleaner was coming today, we all readied for a walk and off we went for a pleasant stroll around the block or block or two. It was nice to get out and enjoy the sunshine, and for Michael who was ultra clingy today it was great!

As it turned out the housecleaner did not come today which meant that I did have to clean up after our mess and boy, what a mess. Not only did I have to clean up, but I did so with Michael attached at the hip and one handed -- poor little baby, a combo of teething, not feeling well, and sucker punch for being the baby - he just wanted to be held!!

Not sure where I was going with this post -- all to say, today wasn't a bad day, it had a slow start but kick started into high gear and now I am sitting here admiring my typing ability. I really do like how my fingers know where the letters are on the keyboard, and I don't have to look at the keys - a fact, which I believe I've posted about in the past.

Oh, I am going to go now and think about a new post -- over on
http://www.goodgirllit.blogspot.com/ (I really do need to learn how to simply type "here" and within the "here" is the link to whatever I am referencing) they have a Monday tradition of posting "Tag, you're it" where they post a question and their answer but then ask for yours -- this week's is "Your Favourite Place" or something like that.

Don't you just love the randomness of my life!!!
