the money is still there

I went to the mall this afternoon and all my attempts at spending money were thwarted. I needed to get new glasses and was willing to pay out the money, but because the optician failed to adequately explain the high price I declined and left the store.

Next off to Target to find some shoes and a top for river rafting next week and no money out of my pocket in this store...they didn't have my size and then the only color top in the style and fit that I wanted was lime green, I'm thinking lime green isn't exactly my coloring :)

Then off to Borders, but by this time I wasn't willing to part with any money, even for a book. I now this is serious, and there are books that I want but because I had been denied spending money on things I actually needed to get, I didn't feel up to parting with my money for something that wasn't a necessity.

On the note of white water river rafting we took "bets" on who will be first to "swim" and for some reason I was number one...what's up with that? I am not a weakling, I can handle my own -- just they wait...but yes white water river rafting a week from tomorrow. A class four, with supposedly two 20 ft drops and seven of us, plus a guide -- an all day event, should be fun -- I am sure there will be lots of stories to tell that adventure.

Ok baby bro needs the computer, off to read before I actually get to bed before midnight -- it will be the first time this week. Speaking of my baby bro remind me that I still need to post the pics of how he "destroyed" my book!!!!!!!
