The lack of blog postings has nothing to do with lack of material. I have book reviews, movie reviews, family anecdotes, theological discussions, work stories all mentally stored and waiting for the right outlet. The problem is the power input and therefore output for this particular computer. It is still on the fritz, and while it does charge periodically I like to browse the net first, and then I'm ready to blog, but anywho...
It's a beautiful day today - the sun is shining, the birds may be singing but for the pounding of my head I couldn't tell you.
I'm learning to not be so regimented to routine, I never used to be - but my day today has been wrought with the unusual.
At work they are installing a fully functioning alarm system, and the alarm installer arrived at the same time I returned from dropping Marissa off at Preschool.
He is here all day - drilling, hammering, the windows are open, the doors are open, there is dust, there are drop cloths and tools in all the open areas of the house.
All this means that Michael really can't be underfoot, which means that we've closeted ourselves in the bedroom to play and to top it off it is a 14 hour work day today...
YES, a work, which will lead into my next post: "Living Life in Limbo."
But back to today - the day despite its longevity and shift from the norm did have 1 or 2 redeeming qualities.
One as follows:
The Alarm Installer had finally departed, the sun beckoned, so we ook a walk. TIme such as those are where some of the sweetest and funniest conversations with Marissa take place.
As we're strolling along we're discussing what she might be when she grows up - she said perhaps a doctor (like her mummy and daddy), or a nurse, or she could be whatever she wanted: a soccer player, a fireman, or even an "Ellie."
"An Ellie?" I questioned. "What would you do?" Marissa matter of factly rsponded, "I would take car eof people and give kisses."
Who can beat a job description like that?
