grey skies

The world is a muted grey. The California sun has been in hiding the last several days, and grey clouds blanket the sky - at times dumping their murky waters on the world below, but at present they merely shroud the earth.

Some people can't handle this weather - there are those who medically cannot, and must exist with a sun machine, and there are those who find the weather to be in direct correlation with mood, activity level, energy, and productivity. Most often grey skies has a positive correlation with feelings of depression, low energy, and inactivity. Then there are those people who are invigorated swirling mass of grey, they see the day as one of potential and mystery.

For me I enjoy the grey skies and the pounding of the rain. It does create the sense of desire to simply cuddle up with a blanket, hot tea, and a book (and maybe a boyfriend ;)). But I like the grey skies. The dampness and chill in the air. The sense of winter pressing in. Maybe because it is because I know it won't last. It IS California, how long do we really go before the sun breaks through and the blue skies are a banner.
