A Look Back

January is up and running, and with it a whole new year (imagine that, a new year in January???) 2007 is behind us, behind me at least, and 2008 is bright on the horizon. Thursday Night Dinner will bring with it the first stage of not goal planning, but commitment pledging (I don't know if that is exactly the name given to it, but it works for my purposes). I think I might have thought about it too much, because I have multiple sub topics - but until further tuning this is how it looks:

First things first a review of goals from 2007:

1. Maintain KB at minimum twice a week: Intermittantely I did KB thrice a week, tried for a consistent twice a week, and then with recent events I dropped to once a week, but on average I did maintain working out.
2. Write and publish "Wednesday Night with the Hittlers" - I unfortunately did not succeed in achieving this goal. I did write a scattering of memoirs, but nothing concrete. I would like to eventually write something to capture the very essence of what was once Wednesday nights, but is now Thursdays.
3. Apply for my Masters -- I did not, but I did decide not to, as opposed to it simply skating by.

Stretch Goal was to purchase a new car, and I did not feel the stretch 'cause good ol' Dolly keeps on going -- although I think her final days are coming.

Miracle Goals: My first miracle goal was technically achieved twice, however in reality it has been achieved once and let's hope, for all!!! I dated more than a week!!! This goal was a little tongue in cheek. However, what was more the miracle are the strategic by products that I feel I achieved: Open up, experience of a relationship, new/deeper friendship with another being - specifically of the male species. I think that therein is more the miracle. I've really had the opportunity to open up, definately experience a relationship, and certainly grow and deepen a friendship - and most certainly, with the male species.

My second miracle goal still remains in the miraculous, I did not purchase any property - even a shed!!!

I think I will post my 2008 Commitments following the Thursday Night Discussion.
