A few weeks back I went to a Booksigning where I had the opportunity to meet authors Kristin Billerbeck, Brandilyn Collins, and Camy Tang. Much to the amusement of Guillaume I shuffled in, handed over my books, gave my name for the saluation, froze I mean smiled for a photo, and shuffled back out. It wasn't quite what he expected, me? I didn't really have any expectations for it, and that was perhaps my downfall. As we drove up to the bookstore (e-ternal treasures in Morgan Hill) I was thinking, 'Nah, I don't really want to go in.' The 'nah's continued as we walked closer to the table with the authors. It isn't that I am not a confident person, I can be in most situations, and it wasn't that I wasn't necessarily confident in this situation, I just felt like a groupie, certainly not uber trendy and I just read your books all the time. I mean even they expressed surprise that I came with a book for each author -- Brandilyn Collin's one was one of the earlier covers -- I mean can you tell my dedication to reading?!
But they were all very sweet and conciliatory and I was glad that I had the opportunity to meet them, if only briefly, and that now three of my books are signed by authors who I enjoy and who not only do I read their books, but I also read their blogs...

Ellie, told you we wouldn't bite.
Well, Kristin does sometimes, but we made sure she had her meds before coming to the signing.
It was SO great meeting you! I recognized your name from my blog giveaways, so it was neat to put a face to the name.
And no, Brandilyn doesn't bite--her method of choice is strangulation.
