Not only did I return to the blogger-sphere yesterday after a 24 day hiatus I also returned to kick boxing, after a I can't quite count that high hiatus!!
It wasn't a high intensity, but it was tough -- it was a weight training session and cardio boxing night. For some reason my arms don't ache that much, but what do ache are my legs -- my quads, my hips, and bending and standing up again -- well, I can certainly feel the workout. Add to that working today and bending and lifting and toting around a 30lb toddler (who is sick again).
I am not someone who actually enjoys working out, or even exercising overly. I do it because one: I feel that I should. I feel that I should take care of my body. I feel that God has given me this life and that I should take care of it. Well, and second I am a little vain -- I like to look good, but I do like to feel good, and I must admit working out does achieve those two objectives! But I don't overly enjoy sweating. I don't particularly like the process of working out and feeling my muscles stretch and be pulled apart. I've come to enjoy working out on the elliptical in my apartment's gym, but that is because I can put on the headset and watch TV while I go-go-go!!
Anywho, stay tuned for some more posts -- if you're lucky. I have to tell you of my roommate and their exploits -- odd couple, anyone?!
Oh and as per the request of my aging father (what we are all aging) notice that the text is in red, and the previous one too!!
